Oakley Airwave Goggles

Joining in on the tech game, Oakley introduces the Airwave goggle that integrates Recon Instruments’ Heads-Up Display (HUD) technology. Along with a new frame shape, the Airwave utilizes GPS and Bluetooth connectivity to seamlessly integrate cutting edge electronics with Oakley’s world-class optics.

The heads-up display gives you the ability to track your speed, altitude and vertical along with your jump analytics to see how big, or small, you’re going. Additionally, you can track your friends and yourself at over 600 resorts worldwide and hook up your goggles to your smartphone via Oakley’s Airwave app (available on iOS and Android in December), giving you access to incoming calls and texts.

The all-new frame shape is a medium-to-large fit, unisex goggle offered in two colors shown below. Initially, the Airwave will be offered with a black iridium and fire iridium lens with a range of accessory lenses in a variety of tints available down the line. The goggle also features Oakley’s Switchlock lens system, making it incredibly easy to drop in a new lens if the weather takes a turn.

Available October 31, the Airwave comes with a sticker price of $599.99 and will be available at Oakley retailers, oakley.com and apple.com.

Burton Ration 155

Steal Of The Day: Burton Ration Snowboard $175

Anyone looking for a new snowboard for a good deal is in luck. Boarders Best is offering a 2011 Burton Ration 155 snowboard for $174.95. So if Burton Ration 155you’re looking for an all around good board that can be taken from the rails to pow I give this one a thumbs up.

The Ration certainly received a lot of attention at ISPO. It’s about time Burton created a snowboard to service the needs of urban shredders on a budget. One really cool feature of the Ration are the Clip Tips which you can trim down to make your shred stick even more maneuverable and dope looking. The last time I saw sawn-off tips was on a Morrow spoon circa 1994… perhaps you should be pairing the Ration with a set of low-back bindings.

Steal Of The Day: Oakley A Frame Goggles for $49

Here is the Steal of the Day I found online for a pair of Oakley A Frame Goggles for $49 instead of $100. All around rock solid goggle that I have used in the past. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a new or extra pair of goggles.

Developed for small to medium faces, the Oakley A Frame Snow Goggle offers a Polaric Ellipsoid profile that’s similar to the Oakley Wisdom Goggle, but without the almost-alien styling elements. The lower vents feature foam plugs that some consider more conducive to airflow than the perforated O Matter lower vents on the Wisdom Goggle. The plush triple-layered foam gasket features varied densities that conform to your facial features with far more comfort than traditional goggle designs, giving you a combination of peripheral clarity and fit that blow away the competition.

  • 100% UVA, UVB and UVC protection
  • Plush, triple-layer foam gasket
  • Foam vent opening directs air flow away from eyes
  • Never use paper products, ski gloves or other abrasive materials to wipe goggle lens surfaces
  • Designed to fit small and medium faces
  • Oakley does not warranty the goggle lens against scratches

Way cooler than Disney’s California Adventure

Skyworks filmed over 45 hours of footage from flyovers of my home state of Montana. It shows how truly awesome the State of Montana has to showcase along with being the “Last Best Place”. I think Disney should swap out Soarin’ Over California for this video for a few months. Just Sayin…
